Thick Plate Cutting up to 80 mm — Laser, Plasma and Flame

Cutting is where the tolerance budget for the whole part gets spent or saved. We quote cut quality by ISO 9013 range rather than by a number we made up.

Frequently asked

What thickness can you actually cut, and with what?
Up to 80 mm by flame, 40 mm by plasma and 20 mm by laser on carbon steel. Above that the edge quality changes and we will tell you what to expect before you order.
How do you specify cut quality?
By ISO 9013 range. Range 2 is our standard. That standard defines cut quality by perpendicularity tolerance u and mean profile height Rz5, both of which scale with thickness — which is why a single number like ±0.5 mm tells you very little on its own.
Do you supply the plate or do we?
Normally we buy it, and you get the EN 10204 3.1 certificate and the melt-and-pour origin with the parts. If you prefer to supply free-issue plate, we can work with that — tell us at quotation stage.
