Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to the information you send us — your contact details, and the drawings and technical files that come with an enquiry.
It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than point you at a clause.

Who is responsible for your data
The controller is Kunwu Heavy, operated under the name KUNWU GROUP CO., LTD (company registration in progress — the registered name, address and registration number will be published here, and in the legal notice, the day registration completes).
We are a Chinese company. Because we offer goods to customers in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation reaches this processing under Article 3(2) even though we are established outside the Union.
Article 27 GDPR therefore requires us to designate a representative in the Union. We have not appointed one yet — we say that plainly rather than print a name that does not exist. Until the appointment is made and published here, write directly to sales@kunwuheavy.com: it reaches the people responsible, and every right described below works the same way.
What we collect
| What | Where it comes from | Why we have it |
|---|---|---|
| Name, company, country and email | An email you send us | So we can reply to your enquiry and quote |
| Drawings, 3D models, specifications, bills of material | Sent by email with your enquiry | So an engineer can read the part and price it |
| What you tell us about the part and the project | Your enquiry and subsequent correspondence | So the quotation is right |
| The correspondence itself | So there is a record of what was agreed |
We do not ask for, and do not want, any special category data. Please do not send us anything of that kind.
Why we are allowed to hold it
| Purpose | Legal basis under the GDPR |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation | Article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Performing an order and delivering it | Article 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract |
| Keeping commercial, customs and quality records | Article 6(1)(c) — legal obligation, and Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in being able to evidence what we supplied |
Your drawings — the part that matters most
Technical files are the most sensitive thing you send us, so they are handled under specific rules rather than general ones.
- They are never published to a public URL. The website itself holds no customer file: what you send goes to our mailbox and to the engineering workstations of the people quoting the part.
- They are never uploaded to any third-party AI tool — not for quoting, not for translation, not for anything.
- Access is restricted to the engineering and estimating staff who need to read the part. Those staff are in China — see the section on where your data goes.
- They are kept while the enquiry or order is live and for at most 24 months after the last activity on it — sooner if you ask. Tell us to delete them and we delete them and confirm in writing.
- A non-disclosure agreement is available on request and can be signed before we open the files. Ask before you send if you prefer.
Where your data goes
The web server is in Singapore (Tencent Cloud), behind Cloudflare's network. The website itself is functionally static: it sets no cookies of ours and keeps no customer database.
Your enquiry and your files are read and kept by our staff in China. Because you send them to us directly, this is direct collection by a third-country controller under Article 3(2) — we tell you where the data lives rather than bury it: on the mail system and engineering workstations in China, and in server logs in Singapore.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Tencent Cloud | Hosts the web server | Singapore |
| Cloudflare | Content delivery and protection against attack | Global network, EU points of presence |
| Our email provider | Carries the enquiry mailbox (named here when the mailbox goes live) | To be confirmed |
How long we keep things
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Drawings and technical files | While the enquiry or order is live, then at most 24 months — sooner on request |
| Enquiry and quotation correspondence | 3 years after the last activity, as commercial evidence |
| Order, customs and accounting records | As Chinese customs and accounting law requires — up to 30 years for accounting vouchers; customs declaration documents 3 years |
| Server logs | 14 days |
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form.
Write to sales@kunwuheavy.com. We will answer within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly excessive, and we will tell you before charging anything.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. We would rather you told us first, but that is your right and not conditional on speaking to us.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS end to end. Enquiry files sit on systems with access limited to the people who need them, not on the public web.
No system is perfect. If we ever have a breach that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority, and we will tell you what we know rather than what sounds best.
Changes
We update this page when what we actually do changes — not on a schedule. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
Anything on this page, write to sales@kunwuheavy.com or use the contact page.
